Oggie Introduces Revolutionary New High-Tech Hockey Stick Grip
Boston MA - March 23, 2005
Unique Grip Offers Hockey Players a Better Alternative to Taping the Butt-Ends of Their Sticks
Oggie proudly announces the Oggie Ergo Grip, their innovative, hi-tech grip for composite hockey sticks. The Ergo Grip is designed with a unique Exclusive Patented Grip-Flex System built into the structural core of the grip, giving players added control and enabling them to generate maximum power from their shots.
The Ergo Grip is a two-piece grip made from a strong, yet flexible composite inner core and a comfortable rubber outer skin. Ice and inline hockey players insert the Oggie Ergo Grip as they would insert a replacement butt-end for their stick. It's available in an assortment of colors and is offered for junior, intermediate, and adult hockey sticks.
"The Ergo Grip was extremely well received at the International Hockey Industry Association tradeshow earlier last month in Las Vegas. We feel that the Ergo is going to be a huge hit with players who use hockey sticks like the Easton Synergy and want quality grips to match the performance and style of these high-end composite sticks. We're very pleased that the grip was approved by the USA Hockey Rules Committee in February 2005, making it officially legal for play," said Joseph Casasanta, President and CEO of Oggie Products.
Over a year of research and development has gone into the Ergo Grip and it has been designed for performance, comfort, and style like no other hockey grip on the market today. Players who use the Ergo find that they have much better puck control than with a taped grip. The rubber outer skin also has a dampening effect to stop vibration, a common problem with today's composite hockey sticks.
